Original - HELICOIL® Tangfree Screwlock thread insert

The HELICOIL® Tangfree Screwlock thread insert does not feature a tang so there is no tang break or removal after the installation. In addition to the classical coil thread insert, it features a screw-locking area to lock a screw. Due to the resilient frictional locking, the prevailing torques are similar to NASM8846. The prevailing torques comply with the requirements of technical delivery conditions stated in international standards as well as in aeronautical standards.

The HELICOIL® Tangfree Screwlock thread insert can be used with screws of higher property classes (8.8 and higher). It is particularly suited for low-strength materials. Due to its red colouring, it can be easily distinguished also after the installation.
